The COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting consequences have led to a freeze in rent for the social sector in 2021, meaning no rent increase in the social sector.
Free sector
For 2021, it has been determined that the rent increase may be a maximum of 1%, plus inflation, amounting to a maximum of 2.4% for the year. This applies to residential properties where the base rent is above the liberalization threshold. If there is an improvement to the property, the rent increase may exceed 1% plus inflation, but it must be proportionate to the costs of the improvement.
